Frequently Asked Questions:
A pregnant woman must not get a CT Scan or any X-ray examinations done, especially in her first trimester, i.e. the first three-month period of pregnancy. Depending on the conditions, alternate exams such as Ultrasound may be opted for diagnosing a health condition. Women must always inform the onsite technician that they are pregnant or, they maybe pregnant.
After your CT Scan is completed, you may resume all normal activities. There should not be any ill side-effects and you will be able to drive yourself.
We do recommend a high intake of liquids/water if an injection of CT Contrast has been given to you. So that the contrast dye is duly flushed from your body and you do not risk being dehydrated.
